community in the
entertainment world. This year, he
was invited to speak at the White
House Initiative at the Asian Americans
and Pacific Islanders conference,
and he recently exec-produced
" My Motto: Veterans Edition, " a TV
special for Asian Pacific American
Heritage Month that spotlighted the
stories of three AAPI veterans whose
time in the service empowered them
to lead upon their return home. He's
expanding Myx's reach as well,
recently overseeing the premiere
of new web series " My Motto " that

highlights the lives of Asian American
millennials. " Through cable entertainment
we've been given an opportunity
to empower diversity by allowing
more people to tell their stories and
shape the national conversation into
something that is truly representative
of our country today, " he says.

continues to expand.
This past year
he added digital/
advanced platform
sales to his ad sales responsibilities.
He's working to develop an integrated
linear and digital platform team to
better leverage the company's assets
and identify additional revenue opportunities
for both IFC and WE tv, and as
part of that vision he's been working
to educate and acclimate new hires in
various departments. Song identifies
several areas where cable could
step up its diversity efforts. " Growth,
promotion and leadership roles for
minorities are all places where I
would like to see improvements, " he
says.

Southworth, the
highest-ranking
legal exec for both
networks, this year
was again integral in negotiating
agreements resulting in some of their
most important initiatives. She led
key renegotiations for SundanceTV
and Shudder, as well as Sundance
Now's multiyear partnership deal
with the Sundance Institute and the
Sundance Film Festival. Southworth
also stepped up AMC's brand franchise
development efforts, including
negotiating and drafting " The Walking
Dead's " NextGame mobile and console
game deals. A big proponent of
mentoring, this summer she planned

a reunion for all the legal interns
she's hired and mentored since 2009.
Some of my oldest interns were in
positions where they were now hiring
junior attorneys, and my newest
interns were particularly excited to
meet them! " she says.

for USA's drama
series " Mr. Robot, " Thomas-Taylor has
been at the forefront in collaborating
and advising on a multitude of issues
relating to the lauded program-including
negotiating a multi-year overall
agreement for showrunner Sam Esmail.
Thomas-Taylor is an executive who
always takes the time to give career
advice to up-and-coming employees,
whether they're interested in business
affairs or other industry areas. She
advises mentees to try to land informational
interviews. " Mentees have shared
with me that talking to different people
about their work gave them great
insight, " Thomas-Taylor says.
