MARTIN PEARLMAN first began performing with a group of musical friends as Banchetto Musicale during the 1973-74 season, nobody- certainly not Pearlman-could imagine the Baroque performance world as it exists today. "It was 1973," Pearlman says. "Those were the days before anyone was told to make long range plans, and I had no idea where it was going to lead."
