Complete Convention Coverage Available on AEA YouTube Channel
The AEA now has its own YouTube channel, which features complete coverage from the 2012 AEA International Convention & Trade Show in Washington, D.C. It is available online at www.youtube.com/user/AEAlive. The live presentations from each of the 27 companies that introduced new products and services during the AEA New Product Introductions are available for review. These individual clips were produced by the Aero-News Network, which live-streamed the AEA Official Opening to the international general aviation community in highdefinition on April 4, 2012. Viewers also can watch the AEA state of the association address given by AEA President Paula Derks, along with video tributes to AEA Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Paul Ryan, AEA Member of the Year Jim Joubert of Pacific Southwest Instruments and AEA Associate Member of the Year Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics. Silent Auction Raises Record Amount for AEA Educational Foundation
More than $81,542 was raised during the AEA Silent Auction, a benefit for the AEA Educational Foundation’s scholarship program, at the 55th annual AEA International Convention & Trade Show, April 3-6, in Washington, D.C. It is the foundation’s largest auction total in its history, in part due to generous donations by Aircell and Garmin. The following companies and individuals donated items:
