adding that the interactive display can even go on the road, reaching customers en masse. “It allows them to see the units, ask operational questions, and get a feel for the benefits of the equipment firsthand – in all, gain a better understanding before they buy. “We can remove our showroom equipment from its main display and bolt it right into our custombuilt trailer to create a portable showroom for special events and local air shows like AOPA’s Aviation Summit.”

Relating to Customers The bells and whistles aren’t what keep customers coming back, according to Krueger. “I believe that being honest
with customers is the single most important reason for our continued growth,” Krueger said. “Also, being a pilot really helps. I’m able to explain actual experiences with the various equipment. “Our biggest challenge right now is the uncertainty of the economy. A few years ago, it was always steady, and we could bank on it. Now, we have extremely busy times, and we have slower times. The way we adapt is to offer additional equipment that the customer may be interested in to maximize each sale. This, in turn, keeps the technicians busier and more profitable.” While Krueger may have started out specializing in wiring panels for experimental aircraft, today he spends most of his time helping general aviation customers. Still, customers who build their own aircraft might get a little extra special attention. “There’s always more of a relationship with an experimental customer, because you interact with them quite a bit more,” Krueger said. “I’m helping them with their dream build. The end result usually takes a bit longer to complete, but the same satisfaction comes through just like every job we do.” q
