Dassault Falcon Jet completed the first installation of a new cabin management and high-definition entertainment system designed by ROCKWELL COLLINS for the Falcon 7X and Falcon 900. The system, which Dassault will market as FalconCabin HD+, brings industry-leading capabilities to these aircraft cabins, including audio/video on demand and an interactive 3-D moving map solution. The FalconCabin HD+ system utilizes a state-of-the-art fiber-optic network to distribute data throughout the cabin. System highlights include: • An AVOD solution that allows content to be loaded and viewed simultaneously or at individual paces on multiple displays in the cabin. • An interactive moving-map solution featuring Rockwell Collins’ Airshow 3-D moving map. • A sophisticated command and control system for managing all of the cabin’s environmental subsystems. • Color touchscreen programmable switch panels to easily control cabin features and entertainment content. Initial deliveries of new Falcon 7X and Falcon 900LX aircraft equipped with the new FalconCabin HD+ are expected later this year. STEVENS AVIATION has
expanded its fleet of mobile AOG and maintenance service vehicles. The company’s Greenville, S.C., locations at GreenvilleSpartanburg International Airport and the S.C. Technology and Aviation Center are the latest to offer this service. The new truck joins the existing fleet operating out of the Stevens Aviation facilities in Dayton, Denver and Nashville. “The truck is already in high demand,” said PATRICK ESKEW, Stevens maintenance manager at GYH. “Customers had asked about it occasionally, but when we got it, the schedule started filling up.” The new mobile services from GYH and GSP are led by crew
leader, TREVOR PROBST. Stevens Aviation added the new vehicle in order to complete its national coverage for mobile AOG and aircraft maintenance services. The Western U.S. is covered by a crew based in the Denver area at the Broomfield, Colo., airport. Stevens offers coverage for the central portion of the country from the Dayton and Nashville facilities. With the addition of the new vehicle and crew in S.C., Stevens now offers coverage for the Eastern Seaboard.
