including experimental aircraft and gliders. Its Prime Line
provides instrument flight rules equipment for certified
aircraft and system applications.
Becker’s sales and service and support locations are
found mainly in Germany, Brazil, China and the U.S. Its
U.S subsidiary, Becker Avionics Inc. in Miramar, Fla., is
the second largest branch within the company, serving in
sales and service for the entire Becker product line. It also
is an approved Federal Aviation Administration Part 145
repair station and manufacturing facility.
“Additionally, BAI conducts limited manufacturing
and assembly of the popular DVCS digital audio system
product line as well as some ATC products,” said Gardner,
who is based at BAI in Florida.
In addition to its certified products, Becker offers
comprehensive electronics engineering and manufacturing

capabilities and expertise to aircraft and avionics original
equipment manufacturers.
“This includes providing solutions for the unique
challenges, such as low volume and custom-tailored
products,” Gardner said. “Our innovative approach to
manufacturing incorporates the best practices from the
electronics and avionics industries to develop and implement
processes and procedures that improve the durability, extend
the reliability and increase the life cycle of our products.”
The Becker research and development teams have
created custom-made solutions in antenna and radio
technology (from 100 hertz to the gigahertz range),
navigation, direction finding, sensor technologies,
digital communication, signal processing and software
engineering.
