Naples Jet Center

GARMIN INTERNATIONAL INC. recently announced it will offer a GPS
watch designed specifically for aviators. The D2's features include Garmin's
signature direct-to and nearest functions, as well as a built-in adjustable
altimeter, altitude alerting capabilities, the option to display both local and Zulu/
UTC time, and the ability to integrate with Garmin Pilot, VIRB and
more.
According to the company, D2 will meet the needs of global
aviators by offering a worldwide aviation database. Pilots can
easily press and hold dedicated buttons for quick access
to perform direct-to and nearest functions, as well as load
flight plans, and create waypoints, similar to the capability
found in Garmin's portable avionics.
In addition, the option to assign customized data
fields to display GPS ground speed, GPS track, distance,
estimated time en route, bearing, glide ratio and much
more, are all conveniently accessible within D2. Similar to
other Garmin avionics, D2 has an altitude alert feature,
which notifies pilots of altitude deviations. It vibrates when
departing from or upon arriving at any specified altitude,
ensuring the selected altitude is maintained in-flight.

NAPLES JET CENTER, a
provider of aircraft services and
sales, announced GUSTAVO
BOTURA has joined the firm
as director of Embraer sales.
Naples Jet Center and its parent
company, Eagle Creek Aviation
Services, are Embraer authorized
Phenom service centers.
Botura will be responsible for
marketing maintenance and aircraft
sales for the Embraer Phenom 100
and 300 aircraft. He also will handle
marketing and sales in South
America. He previously worked for
Embraer in São José dos Campos
for seven years.

is delighted to have Gustavo on

has extensive knowledge of the
Embraer Phenom as well as

Botura worked in Embraer's
landing gear division and
progressed
through
spare
parts sales and purchasing. He
specialized in overseeing the
company's Embraer Phenom
aircraft deliveries and customer
care for more than three years.

L-3 Aviation Products
L-3 DISPLAY SYSTEMS, a division of L-3 AVIATION PRODUCTS, recently

announced it was awarded a contract from The Boeing Company to provide
the Remote Interface Unit for the F-15C/D Advanced Display Core Processor II
aircraft program. The RIU is a redundant, programmable input/output processing
system that collects and manages Heads-Up Display, Hands-On Throttle and
Stick (HOTAS), and other F-15C/D analog and digital signals for distribution using
the aircraft's digital bus interfaces.
Under the contract, the company will design, develop, test and deliver a stateof-the-art RIU, enabling the digital transformation of aircraft systems for the
combat-proven F-15C/D Eagle.
