COOL CITY AVIONICS of Mineral Wells, Texas, received
FAA supplemental type certificate SR09645RC for the
installation of its family of six autopilots in Robinson R-44
helicopters.
According to the company, the new family, the first to be
approved under the new FAA TSO-C198 and RTCA MOPS325, includes the HAP-100 2-axis autopilot, the HAP-150
3-axis autopilot, the HFC-100 2-axis autopilot with SCAS,
the HFC-150 3-axis autopilot with SCAS and the HFC-150LE and HAP-150-LE that add an orbit mode specifically
designed for law enforcement and electronics news gathering
helicopters.

Velocity Aerospace
VELOCITY AEROSPACE awarded ALAN GOODE of
Averitt Air in Nashville, Tennessee, an iPad Mini. Goode
became the fifth of 12 individuals to win the prize.
The promotional contest was launched earlier this year at
the AEA International Convention & Trade Show in Nashville.
Individuals who visited the company's booth and picked up a
Velocity Aerospace mouse pad are eligible to win an iPad Mini

CUTTER AVIATION of Phoenix, Arizona, named
RUSSELL (BUCK) MYERS avionics supervisor to the
company's service department.
Myers has more than 20 years of
industry experience in avionics as a
technical inspector and supervisor
of electrical component repair. He
previously worked for the U.S. Army,
Boeing and several general aviation
facilities. He also operated his own
Russell (Buck) Myers
avionics shop.
Myers attended Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University where he obtained his aviation
maintenance technician certification. While serving in
the U.S. Army, he specialized in electrical and avionics
systems on the Apache and Blackhawk helicopters,
safety management, accident prevention and leadership
development.

HIGHFILL
director of maintenance. He will
be responsible for the production
elements of the company's aircraft
maintenance, avionics and interior
refurbishment operations.
Highfill has more than 17 years
of experience at various companies,
William (Bill) Highfill
including Gulfstream Aerospace,
Indianapolis Jet Center (now Comlux
Aviation Services) and ARINC Inc. He graduated from
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a licensed
FAA A&P mechanic.
