AEA's Ric Peri receives NATA
Aviation Journalism Award
The National Air Transportation Association
announced the recipients of its Industry Excellence
Awards given annually to individuals, offices and
organizations that have helped improve the general
aviation community by demonstrating excellence in their
field and the highest level of customer service.
The winner of the 2014 NATA Aviation Journalism
Award is Ric Peri, vice president of government and
industry affairs for the Aircraft Electronics Association
and a senior writer for Avionics News magazine. He was
recognized for his monthly "View from Washington"
column published in Avionics News. The award
identifies a journalist, writer or publication excelling in
consumer education or editorial support in the FBO/air
charter industry. With more than 20 years of experience
writing for various publications in the aviation
maintenance community, Peri has dedicated himself to
promoting standardization, consistency and regulatory
compliance.

to Peri during the 57th annual AEA International

Certified Repair Station Training Course
at AEA Headquarters, May 12-16
The Aircraft Electronics Association's
commitment to training continues as it plays host
to a Certified Repair Station Training Course, May
12-16, at the Dan Derby Center for Professional
Development in Lee's Summit, Mo.
This week-long course is divided into training
modules designed for the startup repair station, as
well as mature operators looking to improve their
understanding of the regulations, perform internal
audits and write repair station manuals.
Presented by Ric Peri, AEA vice president of
government and industry affairs, this course is
appropriate for quality managers, technicians,
mechanics and repairmen who are involved in the
management of a repair station, as well as individuals
looking to establish a Part 145 repair station.
