WHAT THEY DO: UTC Aerospace Systems' Cabin Electronic Systems provides cabin management systems
and in-flight entertainment for commercial, regional,
business and military fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.

The North Little Rock, Ark., team still focuses
on cabin electronics, its core effort since its original
founding in 1986. The company creates solutions for
commercial, regional, business and military fixed- and
rotary-wing aircraft.

"We're one of the nation's largest providers of inflight entertainment and cabin management systems for
business, VIP and head-of-state aircraft," said Dennis
Scannell, interiors group, marketing communications
specialist for UTC Aerospace Systems.
Cabin Electronic Systems provides components for inflight entertainment systems, including Blu-ray players,
high-definition monitors, iOS accessories, command and
control apps for personal entertainment devices, switches
and sound systems. It's all the electronic entertainment

gadgetry passengers have come
to expect at home, work and,
now, in the air.
"We can provide everything
necessary to design and
manufacture a complete cabin
system," Scannell said.
As aviation industry
followers know, translating
consumer electronics for the
cabin isn't always easy. The
company's engineers work
closely with original equipment
manufacturers and completion
centers to develop new system
solutions and upgrades to current capabilities.
"It's all about our attitude ... continued improvement,
perfect delivery, perfect quality, providing unmatched
services and products to our customers," Scannell said.
"Through the years, the competition has increased,
but our challenge is and will always be to exceed our
customers' expectations." q
