and location, person in charge, associated certificates and
as many as three images of the equipment. Documents
associated with the equipment can include specification
sheets, operations manuals, calibration certificates,
reference materials, necessary forms and any others
necessary or helpful to the equipment's operation or
compliance with policies and regulations.
MyTEq puts all this information in one place and
organizes it for easy retrieval, updates and record
keeping. The company believes the new tool can be
used by avionics organizations to boost efficiency and

BendixKing
BendixKing unveiled its new AeroWave 100, an inflight Internet solution. The company said its AeroWave
100 system is the first to offer affordable in-flight
Internet to general aviation aircraft, from piston twins,
to turboprops and including light jets. Using the new
system, passengers will have the ability to send and
receive email and attachments, browse the Web, and
access cloud services and other mobile applications.
Cost is always a factor, and BendixKing said the
AeroWave 100 will lower the barrier to entry for aircraft
owners and pilots, finally allowing them to easily justify
the cost of adding in-flight Internet to their aircraft while
providing increased operational efficiency and safety.
In keeping with its cost-conscious design, the system
utilizes low-cost service plans based on hours of use. The
company said commercial operators of general aviation
aircraft especially can benefit from using the AeroWave
100 by giving pilots access to worldwide graphical
weather service, flight-planning tools and connectivity to
their operations department.
The BendixKing AeroWave 100 offers Internet access at
speeds up to 200 Kbps through an active low-gain antenna,
utilizing satellites to provide worldwide, high-speed service
in areas not served by terrestrial technology. By basing
service on the number of hours used, charges to use the
AeroWave 100 will be easy to predict and understand,
especially when compared with typical Internet-access
plans, which measure the amount of data transmitted. The

Joining other manufacturers offering the newly
deregulated products to operators of certified general
aviation airplanes, BendixKing also announced it had
received an FAA letter of approval to install the KLR
10 Lift Reserve Indicator. The company said the KLR
10 will help improve airplane operational safety by
maintaining pilot awareness of how much lift remains
during phases of flight with the highest angles of attack,
such as takeoff, approach and landing, which account
for the majority of preventable loss-of-control accidents.
The KLR 10 uses audible cues like "Check AoA" and
"Caution, too slow" when connected through aircraft
audio sources. Additional features include low cost and
light weight, easy installation and a compact 2-inch
indicator, which can be mounted in the pilot's primary
field of vision. The KLR 10 is available immediately via
the BendixKing dealer network.

EMTEQ
Revolutionary lighting systems are another
technology giving lie to the naysayer's view that
"there's nothing new in general aviation." As an
example, EMTEQ chose the AEA Convention to
introduce its new 3X Series, which offers what the
company called "white-wash lighting" for corporate
aircraft cabin upgrades.
"More than 10 years ago, EMTEQ jumpstarted the
transition to LED lighting aboard executive aircraft
with the introduction of the ELW30, a product with
more than 2,300 orders," stated Peter Tessmann, product
marketing manager for the 3X Series. "Keeping our
customers who know and love the ELW30 in mind, we
have done that again with the introduction of the 3X
