viation's iconic, fun-loving entrepreneur,
Richard Branson, built his multibillion-dollar
net worth starting in a basement and without
the benefit of a business degree. His many

aviation experts, the Aircraft Electronics Association
has a vast pool of tribal knowledge and experience.
What great advice do AEA's members have to offer each

Here's what we found.
Focus on integrity, respect
For more than six decades, Bevan Rabell Inc. in
Wichita, Kansas, has provided avionics repair and
installation as well as aircraft maintenance for general

aviation and business aircraft. According to Kent
McIntyre, president of the company and 2013 AEA
Member of the Year Award recipient, such longevity and
success lies in how you treat others.
"The best advice I've received and that I would offer
is to maintain your integrity and treat everyone fairly and
with respect," he said. "This is true for customers and
employees. I always try to look at the situation from the
other side of the fence. How would I want to be treated?
What would my expectations be in a given situation?"
Realize your value
