Making significant changes
During the last couple of years, Flame has undergone significant changes, primarily becoming more of a solutions provider.
"We're finding deeper solutions to alleviate purchasing
requirements," Boush said. "For example, say you install
something on an aircraft. You need a certain number of widgets,
relays and different components,
all of which you have to compile. With Flame Enterprises,
you can order a single kit filled
with everything you need."
For the maintenance technician, subcontractor and aircraft OEM manufacturer, Flame
eliminates the need to stock a wide variety of different
components.
"They can concentrate on what they do best, not spending
a lot of time purchasing all of the different parts, stocking
them, maintaining them and tracking them," Boush said.

"We simplify the process down to one part number, one kit.
Simply pull it off the shelf, use it for your build or install,
and you're done. It's unique. It works well for us, and it's a
big solution for the customer. That's the biggest way we've
changed aside from getting larger and more sophisticated,
especially with our systems and networks."
Flame is preparing to roll out e-commerce capabilities this
summer, and add more product lines at the end of the year. It's
all part of the company's commitment to being a vendor that
provides value beyond cost.
"We made a decision three
years ago to delve more into
this solutions process," Boush
said. "In order to do that, we
had to enhance our systems and
capabilities. We rebuilt our entire network structure, including
creating custom software engineering, and adding personnel and
new product lines."
Signaling its new direction, Flame rebranded last year, complete with a new logo and a focus on being The Electromechanical Marketplace.
