Capital Avionics' CA-51DWX software

The CA-51DWX comes in a rackmountable chassis only 2U high and
is controlled by a customer-supplied,
dedicated external computer running supplied configuration and
operating software. The software
features a graphical user interface, a
GUI, which eliminates conventional
mechanical controls and also allows
single-click setup via saved presets in
configuration files.
The CA-51DWX joins other testing equipment offered by Capital
Avionics, including the state-of-theart CA-5000S rack mount, benchbased unit for manual, computerassisted or fully automatic testing
of line replaceable units, as well as
the smaller, portable CA-300 series
microcontroller-based solutions. The
company also has partnered with avionics, radar and GPS OEMs to design
and manufacture new test equipment
and to customize existing equipment
to their specifications.

Cobham
Cobham's Comant aircraft antenna
unit brought two new products to the
AEA Convention, the CI 295-300
multifrequency P25-standard antenna
and the CI 1085-20 VHF/UHF blade
antenna.
The Cobham Comant CI 295-300
is the company's newest tri-band,
single-port airborne search-andrescue antenna. According to the

company, it's specifically designed
to work within the public service
spectrum (VHF 136-174 MHz, UHF
380-520 MHz and UHF 764-870
MHz) and with radios operating
within Motorola's APX architecture.
As with all of Cobham's new SAR
antennas, it's designed to perform
within industry P25 standards for
maximum effectiveness and connectivity. It's also helicopter-rated,
and its single-port, tri-band footprint
minimizes installation time and
effort, especially when installed with
the CI 1120-300 triplexer, which
affords triple-band output from a
single antenna connector.
Meanwhile, the CI 1085-20 is
the only VHF antenna that also can
do ADS-B's TIS-B traffic service,

avionics shops and their customers,
Cobham put together a chart detailing ADS-B implementation in airspace throughout the world, including dates, altitudes and other details.
The chart also details the various
options, if any, and equipment standards needed to comply with the
coming ADS-B mandates.
