SANDEL AVIONICS said that its authorized dealer
and fellow AEA member, AVIONIK STRAUBING, completed installation of an avionics package that included
dual Sandel SN4500s, dual SG102s and dual ST3400s
for Deutsche Lufthansa Berlin-Stiftung's "Aunt Ju"
Junker Ju 52.
According to Sandel, Avionik Straubing selected the
dual avionics package not only for the superior avionics
upgrade, but also for Sandel's simple and clean look
that helps maintain the aircraft panel's mechanical look
of the 1930s.

REVUE THOMMEN announced the selection of the
HSL-1600 searchlight system by the Swedish National
Police.
According to the company, the Bell 429 fleet of seven
new aircraft will feature the Thommen searchlight system
fully integrated into the aircraft camera and mapping
systems for full optimization of
the HSL-1600 feature
set. This is a joint program with Helinet
Technologies providing engineering,
training and support services to the
Swedish National
Police and Bell.

fit for this program
and highlights the many
advantages the Thommen
product has for this market," said THOMAS LAIL, director of sales and marketing for Thommen America. "This
will allow more global operators a superior searchlight
platform without the limitations they have today."

DAC International
DAC INTERNATIONAL, a Greenwich AeroGroup
company, named FRANK DEFEO director of business
development.
He will be responsible for securing new OEM partnerships, growing DAC's ECD manufactured products and
acquiring new products for distribution.
DeFeo will be based in Austin, Texas.
