AEROBRIGHAM, a North Texas-based aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider, announced the recent
installation of the newly released Garmin GI 275 electronic
instrumentation into the Air Tractor Fire Boss AT802A/B
amphibious scooper air tanker.
According to the company, the integration of the new
technology will result in improved safety, reliability and
reduced pilot workload. Specifically, the new electronic
ADI and HSI can remain fully functional during abrupt
maneuvering or significant aircraft attitude changes that
can uncage competitor equipment. This is a result of the
air data, attitude, and heading reference system driven display that replaces the antiquated mechanical attitude indicator, with no instrument panel face modification required.
An integrated one-hour battery backup is also standard.
AeroBrigham is scheduled to provide the Garmin GI 275
updates for several Air Tractor Fire Boss airframes this
year at its facility in Decatur, Texas.
The company is also integrating a comprehensive
head-up display for the Fire Boss series amphibious
scooper air tanker.

AIR PLAINS SERVICES gained parts manufacturer
approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to
manufacture new replacement airbox gaskets for a variety of Cessna single-engine piston aircraft.
According to the company, the gasket (Part
#APS0750142-1) fits some 40 Cessna models.
Earlier this year, Air Plains received FAA PMA certification to manufacture new replacement airboxes for a
variety of Cessna 180, 182 and 188 aircraft. The airbox,
Part Number APS0750144-33, is certified for use on
Cessna 180s produced since 1960 (C thru K), Cessna
182s produced from 1959 thru 1986 (B thru R), and
Cessna 188s produced from 1966 thru 1975 (thru B).
In addition to the new PMA airboxes, Air Plains offers
standard, like-new, repaired airboxes for Cessna 172
aircraft and are usually in stock for immediate shipment.

Central Flying Service Inc.
CENTRAL FLYING SERVICE INC. in Little Rock,
Arkansas, appointed Jeff Hannie as its new regional
sales manager. He will manage MRO sales, which
consist of aircraft maintenance, paint, interior refurbishments and modifications and avionics for Arkansas and
surrounding states.
Hannie, who is a licensed pilot, began his aviation
career in 1990 as an avionics installer at Arkansas
Modification Center. He later moved across Adams
Field to Raytheon Aircraft Services. He worked as a
project coordinator and estimator for six years. In 2003,
he moved to Indianapolis to cover the Great Lakes
area as a regional sales manager. Hannie rounded out
his sales management skills at Aviation Partners and
Flying Colours Corp., Stevens, which led him to back to
Arkansas and Central Flying Service.
