UAVIONIX CORP. filed a technical
standard order application for the tailBeaconX Mode S and ADS-B transponder.
According to the company, tailBeaconX
builds on the skyBeacon/tailBeacon formula, utilizing existing aircraft lighting locations for mounting and access to aircraft
power for reduced installation complexity
and cost. tailBeaconX features an integrated Mode S transponder with 1090ES
ADS-B Out for worldwide travel and flight
above FL180.
The company added that the tailBeaconX is the first transponder to be specifically evaluated by Aireon and Nav Canada,
showing promise toward meeting performance requirements for ATC-quality surveillance data for general aviation aircraft.

the proven safety and operational benefits
of ADS-B through a space-based service
to the general aviation community," said

Wysong Enterprises
WYSONG ENTERPRISES finished the completion of Helicopter Flight

Services' (HeliNY) H155 aircraft. The H155 is the fourth aircraft Wysong
has completed for the New York City-based company in the last 12 months.
"This H155 will be operating in New York and is
a beautiful aircraft," said Wysong Enterprises Sales
Manager Paul Schreuder. "It is always rewarding to
receive repeat business from customers."
According to the company, Wysong has completed a previous H155, several Bell 407s, and a Bell 427 for HeliNY.
HeliNY is a sightseeing, charter, and aircraft management firm with
offices located at the Downtown Manhattan Heliport and the Linden
Municipal Airport.
