industry As the demand for business aviation services increases, so must the industry's commitment to sustainability. BUSINESS AVIATION Sustainability initiatives gain traction S T O R Y B Y L I N D S E Y M C F A R R E N B usiness aviation accounts for just .04% of global human-made emissions. Despite this low impact, the industry has committed to a number of sustainability initiatives with several goals in mind: * An average of 2% improvement in fuel efficiency per year from 2010 to 2020. * Carbon neutral growth from 2020 onward. * A 50% reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, relative to 2005 levels. These goals were published in " Business Aviation 60 avionics news * october 2021 Commitment on Climate Change, " a joint position paper between the General Aviation Manufacturers Association and the International Business Aviation Council. In general, business aviation considers four elements to be the keys to sustainability toward achieving the goals of the business aviation commitment: * * * * Aircraft technology. Sustainable fuels.
