platform heavily used in the
past year is GoToWebinar. The
AEA successfully utilized it to
communicate vital regulatory
content with its members in more
than 40 countries following the
cancelation of last year's AEA
Convention in Nashville. To
fill this knowledge gap with its
members, the association produced
a series of regulatory webinars
and roundtables. More than 1,000
AEA members participated in these
events in 2020, either live or ondemand,
to help train staff members
and continue their own professional
development.
Ric Peri, AEA vice president of
government and industry affairs,
brought his vast years of experience
and expertise to conduct these
virtual events. In addition to
providing relevant content, these
courses included direct questions
from the audience that were
answered in real time. Much of
that content is still relevant, and
