scholarship list for the 2022-23 academic year
The deadline for application submissions is April 1, 2022.
The Aircraft Electronics Association Educational Foundation will award 20 scholarships for the 2022-23 school year to
students pursuing a career in avionics or aircraft maintenance, as well as students from AEA member companies.
The following is a list of available scholarships and their criteria. If you are interested in one or more of these scholarships,
visit aea.net/scholarship to download an application, which will be available after Oct. 1, 2021.
Chuck Peacock Memorial Scholarship - $1,000
Given by Wanda Peacock in memory of her late
husband, Chuck Peacock. As the founder of the Aircraft
Electronics Association, Peacock credited his aviation
and business management skills as the cornerstones for
his success in the industry. This scholarship is offered
to recognize the importance of management skills and is
available to a high school senior or college student who
plans to attend or is attending an accredited school in an
aviation management program.
David Arver Memorial Scholarship - $1,000
Given by Dutch and Ginger Arver in memory of their
son, David. Dutch Arver was a supporter of the AEA
for years and served on the board of directors until
his retirement. The recipient of this scholarship shall
be a high school senior or college student who plans
to attend or is attending an accredited school in an
avionics or aircraft maintenance program.
Duncan Aviation Scholarship - $1,000
Given by Duncan Aviation. This scholarship is available
to a high school senior or college student who plans
to attend or is attending an accredited school in an
avionics or aircraft maintenance program.

Dutch and Ginger Arver Scholarship - $1,000
Available to a high school senior or college student who plans
to attend or is attending an accredited school in an avionics or
aircraft maintenance program.
Field Aviation Scholarship - $1,000
Available to a high school senior or college student who plans
to attend or is attending an accredited college or university in
an avionics or aircraft maintenance program. The educational
institution where the student attends must be located in
Canada.
Garmin Scholarship - $2,000
Available to a high school senior or college student who plans
to attend or is attending an accredited school in an avionics or
aircraft maintenance program.
Garmin - Jerry Smith Memorial Scholarship - $1,000
Available to a high school, college or vocational/technical
school student who plans to attend or is attending an accredited
school in an avionics or aircraft maintenance program.
Gogo Business Aviation Scholarship - $2,500
Established in April 2012, the Gogo scholarship was created
through a donation valued at more than $50,000 to the
