2022 FAA-EASA International Aviation Safety Conference
The Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety
Agency are joining forces to advance aviation safety through global leadership at
the 2022 International Aviation Safety Conference in Washington, D.C., June 1416,
2022.
The conference, which is open to all aviation stakeholders, brings together
regulators, aerospace industry representatives, and other stakeholders from around
the world to share aviation safety information, address current areas of mutual
concern, and identify future collaborative opportunities with the global community.
Revisions to civil penalty amounts
This final rule provides the statutorily prescribed 2022 adjustment to civil
penalty amounts that may be imposed for violations of certain Department
of Transportation regulations. In addition, this rule notes new DOT civil
penalties authority provided in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (enacted as the
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act).
The civil monetary penalty for a violation by an individual or small business
concern has increased from $14,074 to $14,950 per violation after March 21, 2022.
