PRO STAR AVIATION recently performed one of
the first in-field installations of Whelen Aerospace
Technologies' Boom Beam HID Taxi and Landing light
system on a Phenom 300 business jet.
According to the company, the LSM-500-129-1
EMB 505 system features patented dual HID light
technology. The NextGen high-powered lights increase
safety, reduce the electrical load, and lessens the AOG
downtime for lighting issues.
" Partnering with Whelen Aerospace Technologies
for the first in-field installation was effortless, " said
Jeff Shaw, director of sales and marketing. " The
increased brightness and the ability to aim the lights
over the factory system enhances safety and situational
awareness for our customers. "
The LSM-500 comes standard with all-new precision
polished CNC housing and WAT patented 85-watt
power supplies. The installation can be performed in as
little as one day and comes with a standard five-year,
5,000-hour warranty.

IS&S
INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS & SUPPORT received a
production order from The Boeing Company to provide
its Global Positioning System sensor units for the Boeing
T-7A Red Hawk trainer. Deliveries will begin in July
2023 with additional options for continuous deliveries
throughout the life of the current U.S. Air Force program.
This marks the fourth current OEM production contract
for IS&S according to the company, building on existing
OEM programs with Pilatus Aircraft for the PC-24, Textron
Aviation for the King Airs and The Boeing Company for the
KC-46A.
The IS&S GPS/WAAS Beta-3 receiver is a satellite
receiver that utilizes the signals coming from GPS
satellite constellation and satellite-based augmentation
systems such as the wide area augmentation system.
It is a DO-229D compliant GPS-SBAS receiver certified
by the FAA for TSO-C145c Class Beta 3 enabling LPV
approaches and ADS-B mandate compliance.
The Boeing T-7A Red Hawk is an all-new advanced pilot
training system that will train the next generation of fighter
and bomber pilots for decades to come.

certified Part 145 repair station in Bridgeport, Texas, offers
Part 91.411 and 91.413 certification tests.
With more than 40 years of industry experience, the
company recently acquired a TIC SDR-OMNI Multifunction
Avionics Test Set, which is the most advanced all-in-one
tester on the market, according to the company.
The unit allows Waypoint Avionics to conduct
transponder and Part 43 examinations, ADS-B testing,
VOR and ILS systems testing, as well as detect audio
distortion in aircraft audio systems - all from one device.
