Slate of Officers J anet Gula has already been elected by the membership at the UFDC 2013 Annual Meeting to serve as President. The following candidate has been recommended by the 2015 UFDC Nominating Committee to serve as an officer for four years beginning in July 2015. First Vice-President, President Elect - Loretta Nardone, Gold Coast Doll Club, National Doll & Toy Collectors Club. L oretta received UFDC's Award of Excellence for Educational and Philanthropic Endeavors through Dolls in 1994. She served as the Region 14 Director from 1994-1997, as The Classroom Educator during convention from 2001-2005, and as Doll News Assistant Associate Editor. She is currently our 2nd Vice-President and convention coordinator. She planned a spectacular convention in San Antonio for 2014 and she's in charge of the 2015 Kansas City convention. She has attended over thirty national conventions and many Regional conferences serving in just about every capacity. Loretta retired from teaching after thirty-three years and numerous accolades from the community. The following candidates have been recommended by the 2015 UFDC Nominating Committee to serve as an officer for a term of two years beginning in July 2015. Second Vice-President - Dr. Barbara Stone, Maryland Doll Club, Chesapeake Doll Club, Dollology. B arbara has served UFDC as Director of Region 11 and is currently serving as SecretaryTreasurer, Director of Membership. During previous national conventions she has chaired five ticketed events, given dynamic doll dialogues and served as a teller. Her articles have appeared in Doll News, UFDC convention journals and other publications. She is a retired engineer and government executive with thirty-five years government and industry experience. Her education includes advanced degrees in engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. Her accomplishments at NASA included setting mission and goals for the commercial use of space, for which she received NASA's Exceptional Performance Award. Prior to her retirement she was Director of NASA's Special Programs Office where her achievements included organizing the Administrator's Seminar Series, for which she received the NASA Special Service Award. 162 SPRING 2015
