he abundance and diversity of dolls made by German
companies during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries
was impressive and thanks to special exhibit chair, Sandy
Kralovetz, convention attendees were given the special opportunity
to see rare examples from the leading doll manufacturers of the day
including K*R, Simon & Halbig, Swaine & Company, Heubach,
Belton, A.M., Hertel, Schwab & Company and Kling. Munich Art
Dolls, Kathë Kruse dolls, Googlies, Mignonettes, china heads and
an impish Polichinelle peered out from behind the glass doors of
their display cases - display cases that were generously sponsored
by The Doll Collectors of Houston.
