This November 1927 La Poupée-Pochette sewing kit
supplied all the materials needed to make an adorable
nightgown, including lace trim and tiny buttons.

A La Poupée-Pochette sewing kit designed to make
an embroidered dress, shows the kit fabric being
employed for an embroidered motif.

Unlike Gaultier-Languereau, Tedesco did not
sell ready-made items for Frisette. The magazine
included pre-cut tissue paper patterns for the simple
subscription or an all-inclusive sewing kit that
came in a nicely-decorated folder for the deluxe
subscription. Included in those "Poupée-Pochette"
were the cut tissue paper patterns, fabric, trims and
lace to complete the garment, along with the sewing
instructions. The quality of the textiles included in the
"Poupée-Pochette" is good but surprisingly there are
very few printed patterns or directions on them, as
we can see on the printed fabric sheets published by
La Poupée Modèle.
Interestingly, the magazine also included in the
deluxe subscription, patterns and fabric to make
children-sized garments. For example, included in
the issues dated October 1, 1912 and February 1,
1913 were tissue paper patterns to make aprons for a
little girl. These patterns were intended for an adult
audience who would sew these garments for the
child, while the child was attempting to sew the same
apparel for her doll.

This La Poupée-Pochette sewing kit, includes the
pattern, instructions, fabric and red embroidery floss
to complete an apron for a child and her doll.
