The feeling of friendship that radiates through the room when everyone opens the souvenir doll can't be beat. The dolls are symbols of new friendships made and of shared experiences. Souvenir dolls deserve an honored place in our collections." - Linda Holderbaum T raditionally, guests at United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc, annual conventions receive a gift at the final banquet. The tradition began even before the first convention when a luncheon was held in New York to celebrate the incorporation of the National Doll and Toy Collector's Club as The United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc. At that event, Swiss embroidered hankies were placed in a folder featuring "Dolly National," the symbol of the National Doll and Toy Collectors Club. Today souvenir gifts are a beloved part of every UFDC luncheon, A complete collection of UFDC national souvenirs is kept in the UFDC Museum in Kansas City, regional meetings and at all Missouri.
