Standing on the left is a 1930s Lenci doll, model #553, measuring 28-inches closely resembling Marlene Dietrich in her role as "Lola-Lola" in the 1930 internationally acclaimed Berlin film, "The Blue Angel." She wears a black chiffon gown and pearls in the 1920s style. Seated on the right is a very rare 31-inch felt swivel head Lenci doll named "Mimy," likely inspired by the most internationally famous of the Hollywood starlets, Clara Bow, who was known as the "It" girl. She wears a maroon wool felt flapper-style dress with long pearls and heels. Her closed mouth is posed in a mischievous smile with a cigarette at the side. Her henna mohair side-parted wig is styled in a short flapper bob. Photo courtesy of Theriault's DOLL NEWS * UFDC.ORG 75http://www.UFDC.ORG
