The public was awestruck at the new art dolls portraying realistic childhood expressions that were shown One of the largest sizes created of half dolls is the 10-inch lady at the back row, left, with elaboratelydetailed hair decoration and a butterfly posed on her hand. The lady in the lower row, center, holds an extraordinary bounty of Dresden flowers atop her head; each petal of each flower was applied separately in the creation of this masterpiece. The other four examples illustrate more variations in decoration with Dresden petals. by such artists as Marion Kaulitz and even such commercial firms as Kammer and Reinhardt, and to this day these art dolls continue to command among the highest interest and prices of antique dolls.
