Souvenir created by Victoria Christopherson Dolls. The program delivered a 'sneak peek' of the dolls that were displayed in the Special Exhibit. The afternoon was full of workshops, seminars and dynamic doll dialogs. The Helper Room had its Grand Opening in the afternoon. This year was no exception to the mass quantity of generous doll and doll-related donations by clubs and individuals alike. There were special groupings of dolls and their wardrobes and fine selections for the Silent Auction, all to benefit UFDC. The official opening of the convention commenced with the presentation of the UFDC Awards of Excellence. A musical program arranged and produced by Kathy Monier followed, featuring a 'Grand Ole Opry'-style concert starring UFDC members and a few country music stars. Shortly after, the UFDC Salesroom held its Grand Opening, as a frenzy of doll enthusiasts descended upon dealers from around the globe. 44 FALL 2019
