UFDC's 70 Years of Convention Souvenirs T The exhibit poster beckons visitors to 'stroll down memory lane' with 70 Years of UFDC National Convention Souvenirs. he 2019 convention in Nashville celebrated the 70th year that UFDC members have been enjoying convention. While recent conventions have had a doll as the convention souvenir, this was not always the case; in fact, the very first convention souvenir was a commemorative plate. All convention souvenirs are a permanent part of the UFDC Museum collection in Kansas City. To celebrate this convention milestone year, the souvenirs were brought to convention for all attendees to enjoy. There were two recently donated pieces included in the display. Rita Johnson, a UFDC Past President, donated her charm bracelet with a charm from each convention and we also received a framed set of convention pins. Each convention souvenir provides a fascinating history of the evolution of UFDC's National Conventions and the charms and pins add to the overall picture. We hope you had a chance to see these for yourself at convention, but if not, you will find them on display at our Kansas City headquarters. So which is your favorite -- why not collect them all? Early souvenirs include the very first Convention Souvenir, a commemorative plate from 1950. DOLL NEWS * UFDC.ORG 95http://www.UFDC.ORG
