This may be an early example of a Christos tourist doll. 12 FALL 2020 T he dolls of Christos Papadopoulos may not be familiar to many collectors, but they are certainly worth noting. His dolls depicted historical, literary, and folk figures. Using a unique combination of marble powder and oil polyester, his dolls have at first glance a metal like look. Christos hand painted the facial features and his dolls have a unique strong look of determination especially seen in the eyes.
