An article written by Judith Whorton in the conference journal showcases some of the other Native American dolls created by Brenda Stewart. The extensive range of Stewart's talent can be seen with this 12-inch cloth woman with painted features, the 14-inch pair of Navajo children with porcelain heads, hands and feet and the 4-inch all-bisque boy. The souvenir journal from the conference included a color paper doll of "Robert" A Carolina Hero by Sandra Wright Justiss representing Robert Conway, a historical personality in Carolina. We recognize and thank all the doll clubs that take on the hard work and effort of putting together a regional conference or national convention. All the effort boils down to our shared passion-our love of dolls and their stories. DOLL NEWS * UFDC.ORG 77http://www.UFDC.ORG
