The Dolly Sisters are diminutive celluloid quintuplets made in 1930s Japan.

and Violet Lee Gradwohl, the founder of Terri Lee.

" Maggie Pearl " (named by the owner, B. W. Flowers)
was made by Leo Moss in the 1800s. The head is papiermâché on a hard plastic body. The doll is unmarked,
stands 11-inches tall, has sculpted black hair, inset brown
glass eyes, and a smiling mouth. " Maggie Pearl " is
redressed. The doll's original head is on a replaced body.
The doll's maker, Leo Moss, was an African American
handyman from Macon, Georgia who made dolls from
the late 1800s through the 1930s. Moss dolls were brought
to the attention of the doll collecting community during
the 1970s by Betty Formaz, a doll artist and collector. Her
friend, former educator, doll historian, and author, Myla
Perkins entered the Moss doll, Mina, in the baby doll
competition at the 1973 UFDC Convention in Louisville,
Kentucky. Mina won a blue ribbon.
A circa 1880s unmarked, 18-inch handmade cloth doll
is from the collection of Deborah Butler-Johnson. This
doll has black twisted yarn hair (which is possibly glued
on). The facial features are painted and include a smiling
mouth that exposes painted teeth. The clothes are original.
A 1920s 18-inch composition character doll by Koenig &
Wernicke is from the collection of Vicky Hoff Forbes. This
doll has flirty brown eyes with real eyelashes, a dark brown
original wig, and an open mouth with a tongue and two
