These assets can be broken down into: * $1.2mln Cash * $2.0mln Museum Collection * $0.6mln Building * $0.4mln Other Compared to the last financial year, Cash has gone down by $0.3mln, the value of the Museum Collection has gone up by $0.2mln, Buildings has remained the same and Other has gone up, reflecting the increased inventory as a result of us having purchased dolls for the Dallas convention that were either carried over to Baltimore or were not sold and are in the UFDC inventory. Whilst $4.35mln sounds a lot, both the Museum Collection and Building cannot be used to meet expenses (they are not " liquid " ). Just over 50% of the Cash is readily available to meet general expenditure - the rest is designated by the Board or subject to donor-imposed restrictions. So, we need to make sure we top up our available cash on an ongoing basis: * As insurance against an unprofitable convention * In case there is a drop in donations * To pay for projects we have in the pipeline * To cover unexpected expenses (eg. building repairs). We hope these highlights have helped you understand the big picture for 2019-2020. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either of us - Carol at carol@ufdc.org or Sheryl at ufdcsherry@ufdc.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
