When Wes Hall opened his first Minute Man Restaurant almost
 years ago, the menu consisted of twelve sandwiches. The Big M
Burger, with 2 charcoal-broiled juicy patties, American cheese, relish
sauce, chopped onion, pickles, and tomatoes, anchored the menu and
originally sold for  cents. Today, the local Minute Man is owned by
inda McGoogan and the Big M is still a top seller. Call in your order

As restaurants throughout the years have closed or moved
on, one menu item continues to be adopted again and again:
El Dorado's famous o.  Special, which finds its home at The Black
Cat Café. This longtime favorite features a juicy Hawaiian chicken
breast, marinated and grilled to perfection, paired with fresh Italian
vegetables and creamy bow tie pasta smothered in a delicious white
sauce. Served with a crisp salad and a buttery roll, this special is only
available on Wednesdays so mark your calendars!

very community has its own set of traditions and longestablished
events that they are known for. Ask any
Arkansan about El Dorado and they will probably tell you
that we are a boomtown that sprang from the discovery
of oil in the 1920s. While that's true, if you ask anyone
from El Dorado what we're best known for, a few folks will answer,
SPUDNUTS! The only explanation we have for this response is that a
Spudnut is wickedly delicious. Rarely will you see anyone leaving the
Spudnut Shoppe with just one; most are purchased by the dozen.
El Dorado has many tasteful traditions, and we want to share just a
few with you.
THE SPUDNUT SHOPPE
Talk about a blast from the past! The Spudnut Shoppe opened
in the 1940s and has barely changed in decades. It's known for its
signature donuts, which many consider the best donuts in all of
Arkansas. The shop's potato our donuts aren't thick and dense
instead, the recipe yields big, uffy pastries with a crisp surface and
a sweet sugary coating. What more could you ask for in a donut? In
addition to the iconic donuts, the simple, no-frills menu features
cinnamon rolls, eclairs, and donut holes.
