SWEET CHARCUTERIE BOARD An official board isn't necessary to build a charcuterie tray. For our sweet charcuterie board, we chose a simple cake stand and filled it with cookies and candy from days gone by like Orange Balls and Cocoons. One of the sweets that is decidedly not from long ago is homemade marshmallows. They are relatively easy to make, will accept almost any flavoring you want, and have very little in common with the commercial marshmallows you find in a bag. Scan QR Code for recipes. GINGERBERRY KICK The Gingerberry Kick grew out of a love for gin and ginger, and the queen of holiday fruit, the cranberry. Building on the Yule Mule, gin was substituted for the vodka and cranberry juice stepped in to replace the lime. It is crisp and clean, with a slight bite from the ginger beer and a hint of evergreen from the juniper berries of the gin, smoothed out by the tart sweetness of the cranberry juice. Serve with frozen cranberries and a sprig of rosemary for a drink that will surely invoke the spirit of the holiday. Scan QR code for recipe. 50 El Dorado Insider
