STEP 3 Use coordinating ribbon to make a bow. Make a loop, squeeze and twist ribbon so that pattern remains on the outside to make the next loop. Continue making loops until you have four, keeping pattern on the outside and holding the center tight each time you squeeze and twist the ribbon. Tie tightly onto gift box using the ends of the tulle ribbon. PAM'S PRO TIPS * For best results, use solid wrapping paper and patterned ribbon, or patterned paper with solid color ribbon. * Raffia ribbon is the key finishing touch since it doesn't split or fray. Pam prefers Wraphia brand pearlized raffia ribbon which is available locally at All About Flowers. * Keep the center of the bow tight and tie tightly onto the package for best results. * Any kind of ribbon will work, wire edge or plain. Pam's favorite is single sided satin ribbon. * Be on the lookout throughout the year for cute ribbon. * Get creative and try lots of different ribbon combinations. STEP 5 Make a bow out of raffia ribbon to cover center of bow. Use two colors, and hold together to make bow as above with four to six loops as desired for fullness. Tie on tightly with tulle ribbon ends. (For best results and fluffiest bow, do not pull the raffia ribbon taut as you work with it - let it maintain the natural curl from the spool.) STEP 6 Trim ends of tulle ribbon and tuck remaining ends under bow. Fluff and straighten bow. Wow your friends and family with a beautifully wrapped gift! STEP 4 Make another bow out of coordinating ribbon, as in step 3, with two loops and tie tightly onto the gift box using the ends of the tulle ribbon. 62 El Dorado Insider
