Maarja Kruusmaa is currently the Head of the Centre for
Biorobotics, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. She obtained the B.Eng. degree in computer engineering from Tallinn
University of Technology and the Ph.D. degree in computer
engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research mainly focuses on bioinspired
underwater robotics. During the past years she has worked on
flow sensing underwater robots, bioinspired robot locomotion
and experimental fluid dynamics.
