Ramiro Velázquez (rvelazquez@up.edu.mx) is Full Professor
at the Faculty of Engineering of Universidad Panamericana
(Mexico). He is past Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and
currently serves as Vice-President for Research and Member
of the Board of Governors of this university. He obtained the
Ph.D. degree in robotics from UPMC-Paris 6 Sorbonne University in 2006. He frequently participates as an expert evaluator
for the European Commission, CONACYT (Mexico), FONCyT
(Argentina), COLCIENCIAS (Colombia), and MoST (Israel).
He is a member of the Mexican National Systems of Researchers (SNI-Level I). His current research interests are assistive
technology, haptics, and mechatronic systems.
