Carlo Trigona (M'16) (carlo.trigona@dieei.unict.it) is a tenure
track Professor of Electronic Instrumentation and Measurements with the Department of Electrical, Electronics and
Computer Engineering (DIEEI) at the University of Catania,
Italy after serving as Assistant Professor from 2018 to 2020. He
received his M.S. degree in automation engineering and control of complex systems and the Ph.D. degree in electronic,
automation and control of complex systems from the University of Catania, Italy in 2006 and 2009, respectively. From 2010
to 2011, he worked as a Post-doc and Lecturer at the University
Montpellier II - LIRMM, France, from 2011 to 2017 as Post-doc
and Lecturer at DIEEI, University of Catania and from 2017 to
2018 as a Post-doc at the Chemnitz University of Technology,
Germany. His research interests include sensors, transducers,
microsystems and microsensors, fluxgate magnetometers and
energy harvesting.

Salvatore Baglio (F'13) is currently Full Professor of Instrumentation and Measurements at the University of Catania,
Italy, where he received the Laurea in electronic engineering
and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1900 and 1994,
respectively. Prof. Baglio teaches courses in electronic measurements systems and micro and nano sensors. His primary
scientific interests focus on development of measurement
methodologies and systems based on nonlinear dynamics,
development of micro and nano sensors and transducers,
exploitation of material properties toward integrated transducers and nonlinear methodologies and integrated devices
for energy harvesting.
