Federica Zonzini (federica.zonzini@unibo.it) is currently
pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Information
Technology for Structural Health and Environmental Monitoring and Risk Management (EIT4SEMM) with the University
of Bologna, Italy after receiving her M.Sc. degree in electronic
engineering from the same university. Her main research interests include advanced signal processing techniques for
structural health monitoring applications, encompassing
graph signal processing, data-fusion, compressive sensing and
damage assessment.
Cristiano Aguzzi is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Information Technology for Structural Health
and Environmental Monitoring and Risk Management (EIT4SEMM) with the University of Bologna, Italy after receiving
his M.Sc. degree in computer engineering in 2017 from the
same university. His research interests are semantic technologies, web of things, system software engineering and software
dependability. Other topics are machine learning, AI, computer vision, domain specific languages and computational
models.
Lorenzo Gigli is a Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DISI), University of Bologna,
Italy, working on the MAC4PRO project after receiving his
M.Sc. degree in computer science in 2019 from the same university. He is part of the PeRvasive IoT SysteMs (PRISM)
Research Laboratory directed by Prof. Marco Di Felice and cofounder of Modal Nodes, Anyprint S.r.l. and the research and
development group of Epoca S.r.l. His field of study includes
IoT / WoT technologies, distributed systems, containers and
cloud architectures.
Luca Sciullo is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer
Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna, Italy,
where he received his M.Sc. degree in computer science in
2017. His research interests include wireless systems and protocols for emergency scenarios, wireless sensor networks, and
the Web of Things.
Nicola Testoni is currently an Adjunct Professor with the
Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering at the University of Bologna, Italy, where he received
his M.Sc. degree in microelectronics and his Ph.D degree in
information technology in 2004 and 2008, respectively. His research interests include guided waves, analog circuit design,

Luca De Marchi is Associate Professor in electronics in the
Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering of the University of Bologna, Italy. His current
research interests are in multiresolution and adaptive signal
processing, with a particular emphasis on structural health
monitoring applications.
Marco Di Felice is an Associate Professor of computer science with the University of Bologna, Italy, where he received
his M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in computer science in 2004
and 2008, respectively. He was a Visiting Researcher with the
Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, and with
Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA. His research interests include self-organizing wireless networks, unmanned
aerial systems, the IoT, and mobile applications.
Tullio Salmon Cinotti is Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, Italy, where he teaches courses on computer
architecture and logic design. He graduated in electrical engineering at the University of Bologna in 1974. His research
interests are in the area of digital systems and go from embedded systems to smart spaces and semantic-based data
distribution architectures for systems of systems.
Canio Mennuti he has been in charge of the Safety Diagnostic
Technologies Laboratory of the INAIL Technological Innovations Department since 2015. Since 2002, he has carried out
research at the Research Center of Monte Porzio Catone (RM)
of INAIL in the field of non-destructive controls in the industrial sector aimed at developing innovative methods for
verifying the structural integrity of work equipment and plant
components. He graduated in civil engineering from the Engineering Faculty of the University of Naples " Federico II. "
From 1994 to 2002, at the ISPESL Territorial Department of Biella, he worked on the verification and verification of the safety
requirements of pressure equipment and, more generally, of
industrial plants.
Alessandro Marzani is an Associate Professor of structural mechanics and currently the Coordinator of the Ph.D. program
in Engineering and Information Technology for Structural
and Environmental Monitoring and Risk Management (EIT4SEMM). He received a M.Sc. degree in structural engineering
from the University of California, San Diego, an M.Sc. degree
in civil engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy and
the Ph.D. degree in engineering of materials and structures
from the University of Calabria, Italy in 2005. His research
interests include non-destructive evaluation techniques of
materials and structures, structural monitoring, linear and
non-linear ultrasonic guided wave propagation, structural optimization and identification strategies, structured materials
for wave propagation control (metamaterials).
