Erfan Ghaderi (eghaderi@sfu.ca) received the M.Sc. degree in
micro- and nano-electronic devices from Sharif University of
Technology, Iran, in 2017, for his research on development of
electronic subsystems for near field optics for nanofabrication
purposes. In the same year, he joined the Intelligent Sensing Laboratory, Simon Fraser University, British Columbia,
Canada, to develop the new generation of micro-electro-mechanical systems for inertial sensing applications, where he
is currently a Ph.D. degree candidate. His current research interests include micro-resonators, micro-sensors, and noise
analysis in microdevices.

Behraad Bahreyni (bba19@sfu.ca) (SM'98-M'07-SM'14) is
currently an Associate Professor and the founding Director
of the Intelligent Sensing Laboratory, School of Mechatronic
Systems Engineering, Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. He joined Simon Fraser University in 2008,
and over the past decade, his research interests include the
design and fabrication of sensing systems comprising micro/nano sensors from silicon, polymers, or nanocomposites,
their interface electronics, and the required signal processing
algorithms. He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Iran, in
1999 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada in 2001 and
2006, respectively.
