Ali Matin Nazar is currently pursuing his M.S. degree in the
Ocean College at the Zhejiang University, China. He holds a
B.S. degree in civil engineering from the Islamic Azad University-Mashhad
Branch, Iran. His research interests are
structural health monitoring, sensors, and energy harvesting.
Pengcheng Jiao is a Research Professor in the Ocean College at
the Zhejiang University, China. Dr. Jiao received his M.S. and
Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from the West Virginia University,
WV, USA and the Michigan State University, MI, USA,
respectively. Prior to the current position, Dr. Jiao was a postdoctoral
researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, PA.
His research interests include structural health monitoring in
ocean engineering, marine mechanical metamaterials, energy
harvesting, marine soft robotics, and artificial intelligence in
engineering.
Qianyun Zhang is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil
and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh,
PA, USA. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from
the Wuhan University of Technology, China and the University
of Southern California, respectively. Her research interests
are structural health monitoring, sensors, energy harvesting,
and machine learning.
King-James I. Egbe is currently pursuing his M.S. degree in
the Ocean College at the Zhejiang University, China. He holds
a B.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of Agriculture
Makurdi, Nigeria. His research interests are structural
health monitoring and energy harvesting.
Amir H. Alavi (alavi@pitt.edu) is an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and holds
a courtesy appointment in the Department of Bioengineering
at the University of Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Alavi received his Ph.D.
degree in civil engineering from the Michigan State University,
MI. His research interests include structural health monitoring,
smart civil infrastructure systems, deployment of advanced
sensors, energy harvesting, and engineering informatics. He
is the director of the Intelligent Structural Monitoring and Response
Testing (iSMaRT) Lab at the University of Pittsburgh.
