Sara Casaccia is a Postdoc Research Fellow at the Department
of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences
(DIISM) of the Marche Polytechnic University (UNIVPM), Ancona,
Italy. Her research focuses on sensors and measurement
techniques for supporting people in the life environments
(e.g., comfort, well-being), data processing to extract complex
information (e.g., using AI), and sensors for biomedical
applications. She received her master's degree in biomedical
engineering and her Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering
from UNIVPM in 2011 and 2015, respectively. For seven
months, she attended Washington University in Saint Louis,
Missouri, USA for Ph.D. work in the Department of Electrical
and System Engineering.
Gloria Cosoli (g.cosoli@staff.univpm.it) is a Postdoc Research
Fellow at the Department of Industrial Engineering
and Mathematical Sciences (DIISM) of the Marche Polytechnic
