Marco Olivieri obtained his M.Sc. degree in music and acoustic
engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy
in 2020, and subsequently joined the Ph.D. program in information
technology and is working with the Image and Sound
Processing Group. His main research interests are related to
computational acoustics and space-time audio processing
using Deep Learning techniques. He received the B.Sc. degree
in Information Engineering at University of Padua, Italy
in 2018.
Raffaele Malvermi joined the Image and Sound Processing Lab
at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy as a Ph.D. degree
student in 2019, where he is working on a joint research project
between the Department of Electronics, Information and
Bioengineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering
based at the Musical Acoustic Lab in the city of Cremona,
Italy. He obtained his B.S. degree in computer science and engineering
at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy in 2015
October 2021
and received his M.S. degree computer science and engineering,
with a focus on signal processing and acoustics in 2019.
His main research interests are related to vibroacoustics and
musical acoustics.
Mirco Pezzoli is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the
Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy, where he received the
M.S. degree in 2017 in computer engineering and the Ph.D.
degree in information engineering in 2021. His main research
interests are space-time audio signal processing and musical
acoustics.
Massimiliano Zanoni has been an Adjunct Lecturer in Creative
Programming and Computing for the M.S. program
in Music and Acoustic Engineering, Polytechnic University
of Milan, since 2019. His main research interests include
music information retrieval, music emotion recognition, ontology-based
information management for modelling musical
instruments knowledge, and feature-based analysis of musical
instruments, creative computing and generative Art. He
received his Laurea (B.S. and M.S.) in computer science from
the University of Bologna, Italy. In 2013, he earned his Ph.D.
degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy, where
in 2014, he joined the Image and Sound Processing Group as a
Postdoctoral Researcher.
Sebastian Gonzalez is a Chilean Physicist and Luthier
working in the Musical Acoustic Lab of the Polytechnic
University of Milan in Cremona, Italy. He did his bachelor
and masters work at the University of Chile, and obtained
his Ph.D. degree in computational physics from the University
of Twente, Enschede, Netherlands. After two postdocs
assignments in computational physics, he moved to Cremona
where he currently studies musical acoustics using a
mixture of artificial intelligence and traditional techniques
to understand what makes cremonese violins the greatest
in history.
Fabio Antonacci (M'14) is currently an Assistant Professor at
the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy, where he received
the Laurea degree in 2004 in telecommunication engineering
and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering in 2008.
His research focuses on spacetime processing of audio signals,
for both speaker and microphone arrays (source localization,
acoustic scene analysis, rendering of spatial sound) and on
modeling of acoustic propagation. He is a member of the IEEE
Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing Technical Committee
and of the EURASIP SAT on Audio, Speech and Music Signal
Processing.
Augusto Sarti (M'04-SM'13) is Full Professor at the Polytechnic
University of Milan, Italy where he currently coordinates
