Bruce Wallace (wally@sce.carleton.ca) is Executive Director
of AGE-WELL Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility
and Memory National Innovation Hub, Adjunct Research
Professor with the Systems and Computer Engineering Department,
Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada and an
Affiliated Researcher with the Bruyère Research Institute. He
has over 20 years of experience in the high technology sector.
His current research interests include the application of sensors,
signal processing, and big data analytics to cognition
measurement with a specific focus on the aging and independence.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
Leen Yassin Kassab is a second year MA.Sc. student in electrical
and computer engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa,
ON, Canada. She earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical
and electrical engineering from Carleton University with COOP.
Her research focus is on video magnification for heart rate
estimation.
Andrew Law is a Research Council Officer at the Flight Research
Laboratory of the National Research Council of Canada
(NRC). He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and
biomedical engineering, respectively, from the University
of Rochester, New York. Since joining the NRC in 2016, his
research includes aviation neuroergonomics, biosignal processing,
and physiological measurements in uncontrolled or
extreme environments. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
Rafik Goubran is Vice-President (Research and International)
and Chancellor's Professor at Carleton University, Ottawa,
ON, Canada. He received his Ph.D. degree from Carleton University
in 1987. His research expertise is sensor applications,
real-time data analytics, and patient monitoring. Dr. Goubran
is a life fellow of the IEEE, a fellow of the Canadian Academy
of Engineering, a member of the Association of Professional
Engineers of Ontario, and an affiliate investigator with the
Bruyère Research Institute.
Frank Knoefel is a Physician at the Bruyère Memory Program,
Ottawa, ON, Canada and Researcher affiliated with the Bruyère
Research Institute and Carleton University. His research
expertise is the use of sensors and data analytics in facilitating
aging in place. Besides his M.D. degree, he holds Bachelor
of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees and a
Fellowship and Diploma in Care of the Elderly with the College
of Family Physicians of Canada.
