James Kennedy (james.kennedy@c-core.ca) is a Senior Research
Scientist at C-CORE in Ottawa, ON, Canada, where his
research interests include signal processing and radar applications.
He received his B.Sc. degree in physics from McMaster
University in Hamilton, Canada in 2006 and his M.Sc. and
Ph.D. degrees in physics from McGill University in Montreal,
QC, Canada in 2009 and 2015, respectively.
David Green (david.green@c-core.ca) has been working with
the Systems team of C-CORE in Ottawa, ON, Canada since
2006 and is focused on a variety of electromagnetic remote
sensing projects for a range of defense and satellite imaging
applications. He received his B. Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from
Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, NL, Canada
in 2003 and 2005, respectively.
Javier Ortiz Castro (javier.ortiz-castro@c-core.ca) is a Project
Engineer at C-CORE in Ottawa, ON, Canada. He received his
B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from the National Autonomous
University of Mexico and his Ph.D. degree in electrical and
electronics engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland,
St. John's, NL, Canada.
Anthony A. Faust (Anthony.Faust@forces.gc.ca) joined Defence
R&D Canada (DRDC), an agency of the Canadian
Department of National Defence, as a Defence Scientist in
1999. He currently serves as the Scientific Lead for DRDC's
Counter-Explosive Threat program and the Head of the Threat
Mitigation Group, which has as a principal focus the development
and military integration of electromagnetics-based
explosive hazard detection technologies. His research interests
are in the exploitation of science and technology to address
military Counter-Explosive Threat challenges, including
threat evaluation, capability gap assessment, program formulation,
and solutions integration. He received a B.Sc. degree in
physics and mathematics in 1994 from the University of Victoria,
BC, Canada and a Ph.D. degree in physics in 1999 from the
University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada.
Yue Ma (yue.ma@c-core.ca) is a Research Scientist in remote
sensing at C-CORE in Ottawa, ON, Canada. She received her
B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from Harbin
Institute of Technology, China in 2011 and 2013, and her
Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Memorial University
of Newfoundland, St. John's, NL, Canada, in 2017.
Pedram Ghasemigoudarzi (pedram.ghasemigoudarzi@c-core.
ca) has been an Electrical Engineer in the Systems group at CCORE
in Ottawa, ON, Canada since Jan. 2021. He received his
B.Sc. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from the
Iran University of Science and Technology, in 2017, and the
Memorial University of Newfoundland, in 2020, respectively.
Matthew Circelli (matthew.circelli@c-core.ca) joined the remote
sensing team at C-CORE in Ottawa, ON, Canada in 2021, where
he works on radar system software development. He is a space
engineering graduate from York University, Toronto, ON, Canada
with a particular interest in software development and space
technologies. His background includes software design and systems
engineering roles for the ESSENCE CubeSat Mission.
Michael D. Henschel (michael.henschel@c-core.ca) has been the
Director of GeoAnalytics at C-CORE in Ottawa, ON, Canada
since 2019. He developed novel interferometric radar systems
for MDA Systems Ltd. and Defence Research and Development
Canada from 2005-2019. He was at the Royal Military College
of Canada from 2002-2007, where he conducted research in
electromagnetic surveillance and lectured in Physics.
