field measurement accuracy was 9.84%, which satisfied the
requirement of 10% of the national standard. The measurement
results prove that in the low sand content range the
instrument's measurement results can truly reflect the field
environment.
To better verify the measurement range of sand content online
collection equipment, the sand content of 12-30 kg/m³
was selected for measurement. Because the range of sand

content in the field river channels is mostly below 10 kg/m³,
the high concentration sand content measurements are made
in the laboratory conditions using the field river sand samples
to build a standard field of suspended sediment, gradually
adding a small amount of sand samples up to 30 kg/m³ under
the condition of 12 kg/m³.
The measurement results shown in Fig. 9 illustrate that in
the measurement range of 12-20 kg/m³, the overall measurement
results and curve fitting results of the sand content online
collection equipment are similar, the fitting results are good,
and the maximum relative error of field measurement accuracy
is 8.25%, which meets the standard 10% requirement. However,
in the measurement range of 20-30 kg/m³, the current
value of the measurement result always remained at 20.00 mA
full scale, which indicates that the collection equipment cannot
