Cookbook House
Every space in this house has been transformed
to hold one women's love for cookbooks that
outgrew her own home. Get lost in the cookbooks
and bring a recipe card with your favorite
recipe on it to add to the house.

Finch Theatre
Lincoln's downtown movie theatre shows firstrun
movies every weekend. The community
room can be rented for events and meetings.

Historic Downtown Lincoln
In 2020 Lincoln's downtown commercial district
was officially listed in the National Register
of Historic Places. The district's buildings date
from 1881 with many built from Post Rock limestone.
Walk the downtown area to enjoy the architecture
and history of the community.
Historic Downtown Sylvan Grove
Also in 2020, Sylvan Grove's downtown commercial
district was officially listed in the Register
of Historic Kansas Places. Twenty of the
downtown properties were built within 18871930,
many from Post Rock limestone. Architectural
details can be seen in metal facades and
cornices, cast-iron columns and window hoods.
Walk the downtown area to enjoy the architecture
and history of the community.

Historic Denmark Church and Hall
Built in 1878, this small country church has stood
the test of time, with services still being held
there today. The adjacent Community Hall was
built in 1911.

Lincoln Art Center
First-rate exhibits highlighting the work of local
and regional artists. The gift gallery features the
work of artists and craftsmen from throughout
the Midwest. Free and open to the public.

Lincoln Carnegie Library
Built in 1914, the Lincoln Carnegie Library is one
of 59 libraries built in Kansas by philanthropist
Andrew Carnegie. The beautiful post rock limestone
building was expanded in 2008-09, with a
modern elevator, reading room, Kansas/Lincoln
County room, and meeting room.

Lincoln County Historical Museum
The Lincoln County Kansas Historical Museum
collects and preserves Lincoln County's heritage
and culture with interpretive exhibits, educational
programs and publications. The museum
complex includes the 1885 limestone Kyne
House, Topsy School and Marshall-Yohe House,
all furnished to give true glimpses of life, education
and periods of history.

Post Rock Scout Museum &
Crispin's Drug Store Museum
The restored historic limestone building is home
to not one, but two unique museums. Lincoln
residents Jack and Kathie Crispin restored the
historic building, and now are keeping history
alive and well with the Scout Museum and the
Drug Store Museum.

Spillman Creek Double Arch Bridge
The historic 1908 double-arched limestone
bridge at the south fork of Spillman Creek was
placed on the Register of Historic Kansas Places
in 2004. A small roadside turn-off and gazebo
marks the location.

Sylvan Grove Union Pacific Depot
The restored historic Union Pacific Depot museum
preserves a piece of time when both freight
and passengers made their way west across the
U.S. by rail. Built in 1887, the depot served the
Salina, Lincoln & Western Railway Line.

Yesterday House Museum
The Yesterday House Museum, owned and operated
by the Sylvan Historical Society, houses
historical artifacts, displays, photos and other
items related to the history of the town of
Sylvan Grove, established in 1876. The museum
is also home to an extensive barbed wire collection
with more than 500 varieties on display.

Demonstration Farm
This Audubon of Kansas (AOK) sanctuary is
240 acres with cultivated fields, prairie meadows,
streams and woodlands. Overlook area on
the southeast corner offers picnic tables, and
trails are being developed on the north end.
