Brandy Krueger has been sharing her love of plants and nature with the
Lincoln community at least 14 years, with a greenhouse and seasonal retail
garden center offering vegetables, annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, fall
mums and more.
In the last two years, she's been pursuing business dreams, building a new
retail space next to the greenhouse, taking advanced floral design classes, and
transitioning into a full-time floral and nursery business, now named Mrs. B's
Floral and Nursery.
With expanded space and a cooler display, Krueger can offer a wide variety
of fresh flowers, interior plants, and seasonal garden plants all year long. Weddings
are a focus of the business, and of course special events such as High
School Prom, and Just Because. Mrs. B's is worth a visit not just for the plants,
but for an uplifting smile and great customer service.
Another local pursuing her dreams is Sarah Hageman, who loves to go
" junking, " collecting antiques and unique items, with a little bit of crafting on
the side. In the last two years, she took this love another step forward opening
a shop in Lincoln she calls Soaring Arrow.
First Hageman's retail shop was located near the Lincoln Carnegie Library,
but the business quickly grew and she moved down the street to a former
laundromat building converted into new business space at 324 W. Lincoln
Ave, just west of the Highway 14-Lincoln Avenue intersection.
Hageman also expanded her family during this time, and her first born
came along this winter, but the Soaring Arrow shop is now open on Saturdays
for those that love a destination for junking as much as Hageman does.
Speaking of local businesses with that warm fuzzy feeling, mother-daughter
duo Deb and Brooke Haring recently opened another destination on Lincoln
Avenue worth a visit. The KC Quilting Company space is adjacent to the
popular hospitality destination in Lincoln, Village Lines.

They have fat quarters, block bundles, and fabrics for sale, and their longarm
quilting machine is also setup in the shop, where they do custom quilting.
All three retail business owners, Krueger, Hageman, and the Lynes have
also offered classes in the last year, everything from learning how to build a
charcuterie board, to how to make a barn quilt, to Block-of-the-Month quilting
classes.
